Interview Question:

What are your long-term career goals?

Stay away from discussing personal goals, like having a family, buying a house, etc. Always keep it career-related, and associate your answer to the position you're going for.

Acceptable Answers

  • I see myself obtaining a master's degree in Graphic Design, so I could put forth my creative skills for a solid organization like yours and continue to make innovative projects for great marketing strategies.
  • My long-term goal is to continue working as a sales assistant, so I could gain further knowledge to be a top-notch sales adviser in the future.
  • I have a passion for helping people and making a difference, so I want to contribute my values to a nonprofit organization.

NOTE: Do not discuss any objectives where you want to gain knowledge in a firm so you can start your own business. A company wants to know you are with them for the long run.
